I believe in miracles...
All my life I desired to write. However, life's demands interfered with that dream. Now semi-retired, I work in a shelter for the homeless, I devote free time to creating stories.
I strive to develop memorable characters to uplift readers, especially when they grapple with long, arduous circumstances. I don't want them to feel alone.
I know I've appreciated tales with heroes, heroines, and even villains to inspire me, and help me to endure tough situations. Some of my favorites: Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, Gone With The Wind, The Call of The Wild, Black Beauty, Little Women, that's the short list, and perhaps my favorite, A Christmas Carol. I'm a huge Dickens fan.
I'm pursuing traditional publishing. Since 2019, I've labored (one of love) upon a novel embracing two time periods, present day and ancient Judea during the time of Yeshua's (Aramaic name for Jesus) ministry and the Roman occupation. Though completed, I'm engaged in rigorous editing, and to follow, the search for the right agent and publisher. I would greatly appreciate prayers for the success of this endeavor. All the posts you see regarding Rome and Judea are birthed from the research.
I hold a Master degree in Public Administration, wrote a community column for a local newspaper, plus a scattering of other employment experiences, all of which inspire my imagination.
I'm an advocate for suicide prevention, especially which impacts our service people. We lose 14-22 veterans a day to suicide. Rips my heart out. A close friend of mine lost her Navy son this way.
I've a heart for the recovery of drug addicts, alcoholics, and a support for the families and friends who love them.
Summer months I'm occupied with, barbecues, gardening, creatures, and the woodlands. Love most genres of music. Trips to the mighty Atlantic rouse imagination, too.
